Marlborough Genealogy Study Group

The Marlborough Historical Society's genealogy study group, "The FamilyTree Climbers," meets every other Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon throughout the fall, winter, and spring in the historic Peter Rice Homestead

We'll resume our meetings in the early fall and will post our schedule here in late summer.

Resources for Marlborough genealogy research
  • The Society's archives contain records from many early Marlborough families, as well as information from churches, schools, and other organizations.
  • See the section on cemeteries below.
  • There are many excellent resources that cover genealogy--Marlborough and beyond.  The ones noted below have been recommended by our members.
    • Footnote.com--More than 30 million images of historical documents and photographs.  Free and paid options.  Here's a free three-day trial of the full membership.
Search Massachusetts naturalization records here.

This list is a work in progress. Please send us links to resources that have helped you research your Marlborough ancestry and we'll add them here.  We're also looking for specific tips and suggestions based on your research of Marlborough ancestors that may help others in their research.
